with Dr. Narry Santos
Friday April 16, 2:30pm in Youth Room

Dr. Narry Santos is Pastor of Greenhills Christian Fellowship, Toronto. He has been in Canada for 3 years and in that time has been the lead Pastor of 3 new church plants. Before coming to Canada, Dr. Santos was a Pastor for ten years in the Philippines. He has a Phd in New Testament Studies and in Philippine studies. Dr. Santos has written a number of books including Slave of All: The Paradox of Authority and Servanthood in the Gospel of Mark. Dr. Santos is married and has two daughters.

Equipping and Mobilizing Indigenous Leaders for Change
with Dr. Jean Chamberlain
Friday April 16, 4:00pm in Youth Room

Dr. Chamberlain is founder and executive director of Save the Mothers International, an organization dedicated to saving some of the 525,000 mothers who die in childbirth every year. The STM training program is based at the Ugandan Christian University where Dr. Chamberlain lives 8 months a year. She spends 4 months in Canada advocating for safe motherhood while working at McMaster University, Hamilton and is an internationally recognized expert in women’s reproductive health. She is also a recipient of the Royal College of Physicians’ and Surgeons’ of Canada Teasdale-Corti Humanitarian Award and of an International Community Service Award from the Federation of International Obstetricians/Gynecologists.

Ron Boyd-MacMillan is currently writer for Open Doors International. He has enjoyed contrasting careers as a Bible smuggler in cold war Eastern Europe, a pastor in Bristol, England, a journalist in Hong Kong, and a trainer of underground preachers in China. He has over 25 years experience of ministering among persecuted Christians in 3 continents. Ron co-founded News Network International which took him into many countries including China and North Korea. He witnessed the Tiananmen Massacre in Beijing in 1989.

7 Global Mega Trends
with George Verwer

George Verwer is the founder and former International Director of Operation Mobilization, which is a ministry of evangelism, discipleship, training and church planting. Saved at the age of 16 in a meeting where Billy Graham spoke at Madison Square Garden, George returned to his school in northern New Jersey. Within a year, 200 of his classmates found a relationship with the living God through Jesus Christ. George has a burning passion for vital, propagating and revolutionary Christianity.

Understanding the Muslim Mind
with Afshin Javid
Saturday April 17, 3:00pm in Youth Room

Afshin Javid grew up in a very religious Shiite Muslim family in Iran. When he was 17 years old, he joined the Hezbollah militant group. Three years later in Malaysia, he was arrested for the possession of 30 illegal passports and imprisoned. While in prison, he became the religious leader of the prisoners. However, while a devout and fervent follower of Islam, Afshin had a miraculous encounter with Jesus Christ while in his prison cell that changed the course of his life forever. Jesus commissioned Afshin to tell the world of His forgiveness and mercy. Afshin is now the pastor of the Vancouver Christian Fellowship Church, one of three Iranian churches in North Shore Vancouver.

Single Adults on a Mission
with Cheryl-Ann Philip

Cheryl-Ann will share her experiences from travelling with Dr. Pat Francis as part of the prayer team to Russia, Philippines, Guyana, India, and across Canada. She is a seasoned volunteer with Big Sister of Peel, Philip Aziz Community Based Home Hospice Care, United Way and prayer partner at Crossroads Family Ministries. She also heads up Prayer Ministry at Kingdom Covenant Ministries. Cheryl-Ann is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry. This session will feature a multi-cultural presentation and invitation for Single Adults to be a part of a life changing mission trip.
