  •  Wondering what people are saying about MissionFest Toronto?

I wanted to write you and take the time to say that I had the most amazing time ever at MissionFest! It was truly a blessing; it was so uplifting and encouraging! It was really moving for me, and the voice of God spoke clearly and with such an impact. It was my first MissionFest, and it will certainly not be my last. If God permits I am looking forward to next year’s MissionFest, and would actually love to volunteer if possible.
What you and the team do for MissionFest is incredible and I know that it touches the lives of so many people. I am so blessed that God opened my heart and revealed MissionFest to me through the internet. It was amazing how everything worked out. I met new friends, and was ministered to through the awesome seminars!!!!

Regarding the Gospel Nite at MissionFest 2010:
What a wonderful evening of worship and celebration!  I trust that those in attendance were as encouraged as I was to deliver songs with the celebration message of the Gospel.
    -    Marlene O’Neill, Gospel Artist

Holy ground indeed, Holy Spirit raining down on all who were there, a Holy moment with a Holy God!... there was such a unity of spirit and oneness of heart. I will treasure that as I feel God gave us a very special gift that morning. It was such a privilege to see so many hungry sisters wanting to know the call He has on their lives and for Him to meet us right at our point of need.
    -   Lisa Cheong, speaker at Women’s Forum, Ratanak Foundation

It was my first MissionFest, and I was so thrilled to see the family of God come together and share their passion for reaching out around the world - and unified in desiring to share Jesus’ message of hope and salvation. What a breath of fresh air!

Great job on MissionFest last week.  It was interesting again to hear George (Verwer) and Tony (Fernandez).  The use of the church made it quite intimate and the workshop I conducted was full.  The people were very responsive.  Your work in MissionFest is not in vain.  Many people were impacted by MissionFest.  This got me to think about why we have MissionFest.  I don't know if this is the case, but to me MissionFest exists to co-ordinate churches working together to share the vision of spreading the gospel in our world.
    -     Rev. Dr. Kai Mark, Unionville Oasis

I want to say THANK YOU for a wonderful MISSIONFEST Event this past April 16-18. I loved it! I attend every year and really enjoy the seminars, speakers and the exhibits. I agree with what George Verwer said: That MissionFest is probably 10x more strategic an event than we even comprehend. I was so blessed by this event that I would like to volunteer to help you promote this event or help out wherever I can.

I wanted to thank the MissionFest organizers for the great day our Oakwood Baptist children's group experienced at Mission Fest.  The adults who attended with them were also blessed and doubly blessed to be able to attend some of the booths and the event in the sanctuary… due to the way the children’s programs were organized.
    -     Marguerite Morrison, Oakwood Baptist church

It was a great experience and I personally had some great opportunities to meet some great people as well as seeing God work in some amazing ways!
    -     Matt Poulsen, Relevant Worship

I was able to attend MissionFest on the Saturday and loved the smaller venue. It seemed very busy, but I ran into more people I know! The workshops I attended were just what I needed. Thank you for all your work.
    -    Charlene de Hann, Executive Director CAM International

Thanks to you, and all the MissionFest staff and volunteers. We know its hard work, but we also know that you pray as you organize, plan and make decisions. So there's the answer to the prayers of God's people, as we all were praying too! We all were really blessed with the whole event and challenged by Tony's message.
    -     Pastor Carmina Perez, Broadview Church, Inglesia Evangelica Hispana

I just want to let you know that you and your team did a great job in managing and conducting the Mission Fest 2010. I was volunteering with Martha and I was blessed with the whole experience and would love to be a part of Mission Fest 2011.

    Young Leader/Missionary

I have been attending MissionFest for the past 5 years now. The first message that God used to speak to me was about the call from Loren Cunningham in 2005. As a very active youth leader in my church and going into full-time ministry as a Youth worker with a local para-church organization, I was apprehensive, asking myself “Is this really what you want me to do God”?

There was a clear confirmation that I was in a good place, my call at that time was “to build and to plant” after-school ministry programs in local elementary and high schools in North Etobicoke. MissionFest provided for me a safe haven, a place where I can come to be spiritually fed, nurtured and cared for as a ministry worker, this feeling of belonging has brought me back time and time again.

At the beginning of the year, I started to transition out of full-time ministry, not knowing where I would be going next, maybe back to the secular field, or higher education.

One night I heard the Holy Spirit utter into my being “I am not done with you yet”. Could it be Him again, could it be God re-stating my original call to go….?

A dear friend Carol Decampos (Tsang) referred me to a mission organization that takes teams of young people all over the world; God used her to recruit me as a leader. This year was a very special MFT, because my call is clear and the theme was “Called…According to His Purpose”.

I felt like I was being commissioned at MissionFest, as I stood proud beside Canadian coordinators, Shirley and Dave Charron of Teen Missions International. My next assignment is to co-lead a dance/step teen team to Zambia, Africa this summer. Our team will minister to HIV/Aid’s orphans. What an honour and privilege to be drafted in the Lord’s Army.

I would like to thank the MissionFest team, volunteers, and supporters who keep the vision alive. More young people are heading into missions, as a result of it, and I pray that they will continue to be mentored and equipped to be God’s Ambassadors to the nations.
