    Nema Children’s Choir

Opening Plenary – Thursday April 11, 6:00pm in Sanctuary
Plenary – Saturday April 13, 4:00pm in Sanctuary
Plenary – Saturday April 13, 7:00pm in Sanctuary

Nema Children’s choir, is a Ugandan gospel group, that was birthed out of destitute and hopeless orphans many of whom had not only grown up with the affliction of infirmity but also been affected by the deadly HIV AIDS. With entire families killed from AIDS the children took the streets and slum areas. The consequences of living in dire poverty stripped many of the children of their innocence, dignity and hope. These impoverished children roamed the city streets searching for food or ate out of dumpsters. With no one looking out for these orphaned children many of them were growing and quickly becoming city gangsters. Nema Children’s Choir is an umbrella of KINGDOM CHILD PROJECT, which is a nonprofit organization that cares for over 100 children between the ages of 3-17years in Uganda under the Leadership of Pastor Daniel and his wife Winfred Mutibwa.

The choir will be touring Canada this spring and will kick off their tour at MissionFest Toronto. The children are excited to come and minister what God is doing in their lives and the lives of other orphans in Uganda.

    GKM Worship Team

ENGAGE Youth Plenary – Friday April 12, 6:30pm in Sanctuary
Ordinary Women...Extraordinary Call - Saturday April 13, 9:00am in Sanctuary
Men On A Mission - Saturday April 13, 1:00pm in Sanctuary

The GKM Worship family is all about growing together as they serve the Heavenly King with oneness of heart and mind. Unity in and through Jesus is what they long for. Each individual has their unique story about their encounter with Christ. The band consists of Marsha Wagner (Vocalist), Vanessa Fearon (Vocalist), Daniel Mitra (Vocal/Guitar), Keegan Kalideen (Keys), Keith Matthias (Bass) and Jonathan Jansen (drums). They desire to see God “do” what he desires to do in their lives, as well as those to whom they minister. Out of a life of worship with abandoned hearts they write, sing, and lead worship songs which bring all, including themselves, to that secret place, where once again they experience the love of our great God.

  • Missions through Visual Art

This year we have longstanding Visual Arts Director of MissionFest, Christine Peterkin, and new featured artist Tiffani Brown painting live at MissionFest Toronto. They will be painting what God puts on their heart in a spontaneous flow with the Holy Spirit. It’s always exciting to see and receive a fresh word from God.

The creative expressions of Tiffani Brown involve drawings and paintings inspired by the Bible. Painted live at various church events and venues around Toronto, Canada, this type of art revolves around one word -- “living”. “I paint with lots of colour, and I draw with dramatic contrasts that bring the viewer in to the real atmosphere of the piece. Because of it I have encountered not only tears and smiles, but what’s best are the stories that come along with those emotions. I get to find out about them; become apart of their lives -- who they were then and who they desire to become now. It is then that I become more than just an artist. I get to actually relate.”
